McCormick Library collections are available for research to both Northwestern University community members and the general public. To view McCormick Library collection materials in-person or request reproductions, all users must first register and create a user account. You may then use your account to request materials through the online catalog or the collection finding aid and to keep a record of your transactions.

Before you submit either request, please be sure to complete all required fields, including box number. You will see the following message with your unique transaction number after successfully submitting your request:

Request Received. Transaction Number XXXX

Once your material is pulled and ready to be viewed in person, you will receive a link to book your appointment. Note that appointments are a minimum of one hour during our current open hours. If you are unable to visit in person, you can request a virtual reference session by contacting us at specialcollections@northwestern.edu or learn more about requesting reproductions here.
