Please be careful handling the material. These are all rare materials and frequently one of a kind. If you have requested to examine any photographic material (negatives, contact sheets, prints) gloves will be provided.

Remember to:

  • Wash hands before handling any materials
  • Use the book cradles and other supports as shown by staff
  • Write on note paper on the table, rather than on top of the library materials with pencil only
  • Be aware of dangling clothing or jewelry that might fall on materials
  • Keep laptop cords from crossing on top of objects
  • Use gloves with photographic negatives or metal objects
  • Handle photographic prints by the edges only and one at a time
