We offer a range of instruction services from a simple orientation on creating a researcher account and using our collections, to facilitating an entire class session using hands-on active learning techniques. Learn more at our research guide for instruction services.

  • McCormick Library Instruction Request Form: If you are ready to request a class session, and have dates in mind, start here.
  • Email us with any questions or to begin a conversation about a potential class visit.
  • Instructional support: Librarians, curators, and subject specialists are available to teach part of class sessions, or to facilitate entire visits. We can also come to your normal classroom for a short presentation if time is tight.
  • Assistance with course development: We are happy to help you think through how to best utilize primary sources to meet your course and curriculum goals.

Class instruction via Zoom: We are happy to offer online instruction and access to digitized materials or to show collection items with a high-resolution document camera.
